{Please Excuse Me...}
...While I figure out, WHERE THE HECK this week has gone!?!?...
Really. I woke up thinking it was Wednesday. Nope. It's Friday, alright.
I've been up to my ears in projects. LOTS of projects!!! I've been organizing, decorating, caulking, and more! I feel like I either have to focus on my Kids and Blog, or Kids and Projects. And this week, the Kids and Projects won :) But that's okay, because it means I get to do Kids and Blog, next week!
I'll leave you with a little something I've been working on. You know my, usually holiday shelves in the kitchen? Well, if I get one more email asking me what they look like, now that the holidays are up... I might scream... hee hee, jk.
Really... as of about a week ago, I still had Valentines Day decor up... no joke. So I headed out to find some inexpensive "everyday decor" that I could keep up for the non-holiday months to come.
Here's what I've got so far...
I'm still debating on how to fill the space on the top shelf, and what to do with those adorable little IKEA pots, but I thought I'd show you my progress and direction.
I found these cute white pitchers at Tai Pan Trading for $2.97 each. Along with the yellow flowers for $1.97 a piece. (I put three sprigs in each)
The vintage birdcage pictures I found at Down to Earth, at Gardner Village. They were normally $20 each, but I got them 30% off, during their big annul sale.
Ooo! and also, we got a new light above our kitchen table!!!
I talked about it on facebook a few weeks back, but I don't think I mentioned it here.
We picked this one up from Home Depot for about $90.00. I love the shape of the shades, and the lines of the actual chandelier. I thought it was very "Restoration Hardware looking", and at an AWESOME price!
Like I said...I'm not totally finished decorating yet... but for now, it's a good start to some everyday, simple, Ballard Design inspired, clutter free,
(and Valentines decor free) shelves :)
I mean... ANYTHING is better then how this space looked before...Remember?
:) .... Oh man, I love a good before and after...
Ooo, speaking of before and afters... I got a new-do for the "Summa' Tum"
(as Aubri likes to say) hee hee. I swear that girl sounds British sometimes. lol.
Miss Mindy blond-ed me up and cut me short! I love it!
It was actually pretty funny, when I posted on FB that I was getting me hair done, one of my readers said,
"Didn't you JUST get hair extensions???" haha!
Yup. But you must know something about me:
I change my hair, like I change my decor...
with the seasons
:)
Happy Friday!

Take on of the pics and put it on the left corner of the top shelf in front of the frame and take the flowers on the bottom shelf and move them up, take the little pots and move them down and leave other picture on bottom but center it. I say all of this in the kindest way, I promise! xoxo
