Before I left for Creative Estates this last week, I decided to put some finishing touches on a few small frames that we are using in our family room photo wall collage.
I know it's taking FOREVER to reveal, but I have ONE more project after this to finish, and then the photo wall will be complete! :)
All I did was take these three small IKEA frames and back them with paper that coordinated with my photo wall.
Then I designed some vinyl for each frame, and placed them on the glass!
Um... yep. Easy as that! haha!
I know it's not a "huge" step in the big picture, but I knew someone was going to ask me about it, so I thought I would just post the process as I went along.
I cut these decals out on my Silhouette, in white matte vinyl.
I used the fonts:
Disco
Modern No. 20
Adobe Woodtype Ornaments
I agree. The five is kind of odd. I think it's that the bottom of the five looks like a fish. Other than that, I think the concept is great!
ReplyDeleteI love it! And I like the font on the 5, but I think I would make it a smidge smaller. I need a little more space around the edges.
ReplyDeleteI feel like waking my daughter up from her nap, rushing to IKEA and making this project! haha Awesome! I can't wait to see your photo wall!!!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is this?! I love it....gosh, I need me a cricut...or silhouette. So sad and jealous.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

I'm with you on the 5. I liked it at first glance, but now there is something just off about it. I think it's that tail out of the curl part. ... I LOVE the idea though! So cute. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's really cute & so creative! I can't wait to see your wall all come together. We're working on a photo wall above the mantle. It's always so fun to see other's come together.
ReplyDeleteI think that is such an awesome idea! I love the 5, and happen to use that number a lot in my house because we are a family of 5, so I'd be happy to take that off your hands sif you need me too! :0)
ReplyDeleteParty of 5! Love it! What a clever idea! Looking forward to the reveal.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I like the style of the 5, maybe you should just make it a little smaller?

ReplyDeletei love this! maybe the 5 in the coffee tin font you used for something else... (can't recall this second, but i totally downloaded it and used it!).
ReplyDeletei did the same thing this past weekend as the vinyl transfer paper pulls the paint off my super old doors - made a laundry room sign - it's adorable!

I think the 5 is super fun! Fab idea....now, if I could only win a Silhouette...

Love it, but have a question: how do you keep the mirror in the frame, are the metal tabs enough to keep in it place???
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Very cute! I'm with you on the "5," though. Maybe it's because the curve of the 5 resembles a fish?
