Who's ready for an easy, yummy dinner idea!?
:)
I think having my new Electrolux stove, is making me want to cook more.
I feel like, it's just "too cool" to have it sitting around doing nothing, like my other stove was.
ha!
This last week, I was in the mood for some oriental food, so I picked up this bottle of Pineapple and Sake Teriyaki marinade and Soba noodles, to hopefully create something, even CLOSE to what I was craving :)
Here's how it all came together:
First, I marinated some pork cutlets in the Teriyaki,
while sauteing the mushrooms in a little bit of butter.
Once the mushrooms were done, I put them aside, and cooked my pork in some of the teriyaki sauce, till almost done.
Then I added some pineapple tidbits, and the mushrooms back in, with the meat.
Boiled up my Soba noodles,
mixed them in, and...
Ta-da!
That's it! Add some green beans, and you've got yourself a healthy meal!
My kids ACTUALLY ate it! Really! Noodles made out of wheat rice, and all!
Who would have thunk?
For me and Cason?... yup, we loved it too
:)
. . .
And after the kitchen has cleared, but before the dishes are done... I treat myself to one of these....Almost EVERY night.
If you haven't experienced a dark chocolate ball from See's, for yourself...
You're definitely missing out.

ReplyDeleteSee's? THAT is a language I understand. I am a chocolate snob and See's.Is.IT! ;)
Ooh that looks yummy, I always need some inspiration in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious! Will have to give it a try. The chocolate looks super yummy too, but we don't keep any in the house as our youngest can't have it due to her migraines (bummer).
ReplyDeleteWell we love all things Asian when it come to food so I am sure this would be a hit! Isn't cooking on a nice stove such a pleasure? ... it really even makes mac and cheese a pleasure.. Th solid surface is so nice.. but keep up with it since while is gas it is SS under the burners and I have a few spots I just cant get clean anymore.. I suspect if I were a more "swedish" style house keeper this would have never become a problem in the first place :)
