Man, I owe you guys😅 - so I'll leave the chatting to a minimum today, and just post a bunch of before and after photos with links to where you can find all the past blog posts that talk more in depth about the kitchen restyle projects!

And FINALLY, here's the finished after photo of our kitchen, that so many of you asked to see! And below that, is the very first before photo (everything is sooooo dark!), and the first "after" photo, before cabinets and granite were replaced. 😊
AFTER... AFTER👇 😂
This was the kitchen sink nook.
Before our total makeover, we changed the paint, added a DIY backsplash with wooden slats, paintable wallpaper, a new light fixture, and lightened up the decor.
That alone made a huge difference!
Then later on we decided to move forward with the small gray subway tile backsplash, window treatments, painted cabinets and a farmhouse sink!
Obviously new countertops and painted cabinets made a HUGE difference in this space!More on paint colors here.
But even just painting the pantry door and walls, without going through the hassle of bigger investments and projects like redoing cabinets and countertops, brightened and changed up our space SO MUCH!
And of course I can't leave out one of my favorite projects... the pantry makeover!😊
An oldie, but a goodie!
Last but definitely not least, the eating nook in the kitchen!
And before you ask... yes. I did paint that wall red and glaze it with black😁. What!? Everyone was doing it in the early 2000's guys! lol
Needless to say, paint and a little trim work WONDERS!
Throughout the years we replaced the light fixture, added the wood planked wall treatment, some new shades and furniture!
Plus we also did it in our new house here. See it here too.
It honestly brings me to tears to look at these before and afters. There was so much work, time and love put into every little inch of that house. I adored it SO much, and still miss it everyday. The memories that were made there and all of the growth that happened for me and my family is something that I will always cherish! I'm so happy I have these photos to look back on💕

I miss your blogs! Your kitchen is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see the old house. So many sweet memories with you and the girls. You really transformed that starter home into a cozy cottage.
