Today I attended a Photo By You workshop photography class.

Oh. My. Gosh.
My photos weren't that "bad" to begin with... but they will NEVER be the same after today.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Emilie!
Words can't express how THRILLED I am to finally understand this wonderful machine and all it's potential!
Can't WAIT to take the Photoshop class, next! :)

Check out these shots that Emilie helped me get of our "little models" :)

More to come about this amazing day, later on
I was just so excited about my new found knowledge, that I HAD to share :)

  2. Oh how FUNNY! I went to sign up for her class and then realized that it was today (Lauren's birthday) so of course I couldn't go! I'm taking the next one...we used Emilie for the kids Santa pictures and just love her. She is so fun, I can't wait for her to teach me how to use the camera that sits on Automatic all the time! Glad you had fun!

  7. Love the first picture, such a great idea to have some action in pictures :) A lot better than just let kids standing straight IMO :)

  8. I am so jealous you were able to get to a great class! I need one so badly...my photo skills are terrible because I just don't know how to use my camera. Endless reading doesn't help me much, I need a mentor!

Your photos turned out excellent! I love the one of the little boy jumping!

  9. I've been learning to use my camera lately too. Amazing the difference. But I also learned very quickly that my camera has very strict limitations on how much adjusting I can do :(

  10. I'm so happy for you! I learned how to use my film Nikon a million years ago, but am way behind with digital cameras.
