GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED
Happy Monday, ladies!
I hope everyone had a GREAT weekend!
I'm so excited to announce this FUN giveaway this morning, from
I met Leilani a few months ago when she was on her business venture to make
She has ultimately come up with some completely ADORABLE creations, and I'm SO happy to share them with you!
Here is a little bit about how Miss Leilani got started on her "nursing cover venture" :)
Udderly Me started soon after the birth of my third baby. Baby {K} was born late March, perfect timing for summer fun! So I'm sitting on the grass at the park letting the kiddies play, and baby {K} needs to nurse. I pull out my nursing cover and realize that my whole back side is hanging out, so then I put the car seat behind me (you're laughing because you have done this before. huh?), and really that doesn't solve the problem because my sides are hanging out - if you know what I mean! The best part is that all of my other mommy friends where having the problem, we weren't able to nurse comfortably. We know necessity is the mother of invention, well this mom had a necessity! I decided something had to be done. My super supportive husband said "go ahead" and now nursing covers have been reborn! Udderly Me is NOT your regular nursing cover. These are better, made for the real mom who has a back, two sides and who is not allways in a chair!
Udderly Me covers are great for many reasons:
- Chic high-end choices, made for the stylish mom.
- Provides "all-around" modesty.
- Flexibility. Back covers snaps on and off easily. When chairs are accesible front cover can be worn just as such.
- Adjustable length velcro tabs attach on either side (keeps cover in place on windy days, or when baby decides to kick). Tabs can quickly be tucked away when not needed by a snap!
- Boning allows mom to see baby at a glance.
- Arms are able to move in-and-out of cover with ease.
Look at these ADORABLE covers! Aren't these fabrics awesome! :)
Definitely your "all around" nursing solution!! :)
Okay... so I have to say... why didn't Leilani come out with these when MY babies were (attempting...lol) nursing???
What a GREAT idea! I'm all about covering up, in a cute way :)
I mean... Checkout her entire line of cute nursing covers over at
Wouldn't these make an AWESOME baby shower gift?... I think, YES! :)

My favorite is the floral charm. HOW CUTE!!! I am expecting my second baby in November and have got to get one of these!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I nursed baby #3 for 18 mos. Yeah, she was always grossed out by this until now..she is expecting her first baby any minute now. I would love to have this for her since she is going to attempt nursing the baby. I nursed at the public pool, ballgames..anywhere my two little boys needed to be!
ReplyDeleteThe one that caught my eye was "bite me" lol.
Splashy Rose. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fabuous! Love the Huevos cover! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the HUEVOS fabric (pictured above). Baby shower gift for sure!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to nurse my 9 month old in the church nursery yesterday and she kept pulling my cover and exposing me...with another baby's daddy about 10 feet away! Normal nursing covers do NOT get the job done well!!
ReplyDeleteUm, I just came out on my blog yesterday that I was preggers so this contest is meant for me, right? lol! I **love** the black damask print. It would go with much of my black & white wardrode that I think helps me look slimming after birthing a child. ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a super funny story about nursing. I was too bashful to try to nurse in public so I always planned things so that I wasn't out when it was time to nurse. Other than that, my girlfriends had me scared into thinking I was going to leak milk everytime I saw a baby!!
ReplyDeletei LOVE huevos. this design in GENIUS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower of Udderly Me!
ReplyDeleteMy son was soooo fidgety while nursing. He would always grab the cover and yank it because he hated being covered and wanted to see what was going on. With this new design, he wouldn't be able to expose mommy with a quick pull of the cover! I am so excited about this product! PICK ME!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Huevos and Bite Me covers! How funny that it's called "bite me"! Love it!

ReplyDeleteMy story:
ReplyDeleteWe spent the summer living with my sister and her family, and watched her 2 little girls during the day. My daughter, Sofia, was 6 months old at the time. I would sit on the couch and nurse her while my nieces watched Dora or Yo Gabba Gabba. Then one day, my 2 year old niece, JamiLynn, got up and left, shortly returning with her favorite stuffed doggy. She sat down on the couch next to me, pulled up her shirt and started "nursing" her doggy! I said, "Jami, what are you doing?" and she matter of factly replied, "Oh, she's hungry!" I replayed the story to my sister when she returned home. She just rolled her eyes and gave me a sarcastic, "Thanks." But apparently Jami had never seen a baby nursed before!
kristensuemcninch@yahoo.com
Oh fun! I could totally use one of these. I like the Garden Bouquet.
ReplyDeletefollowing the blog!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any funny stories but I do know how awful it can be nursing in public with no appropriate cover. I've had my fair share of time spent in the dressing room stalls ;)
ReplyDeleteI was at a rodeo and I had to bust out my current nursing cover to feed my very hungry little one. I was surrounded by tons of college kids and they were giving me looks of disgust and embarrassment. And, who knows what kinds of looks I was getting from behind me since my back was exposed for the world to see! Classy. Oh well, I'll never see them again =)
ReplyDeleteI don't have any stories yet since my baby is only 6 weeks old but I'm sure there are plenty to come.
ReplyDeleteDivine Damask is gotta be my favorite!

I like the garden trellis. Cute stuff!

ReplyDeleteI guess my feeding story isn't too crazy. But my little one likes to blow raspberries when eating. Milk, rice cereal, anytime. Ha.

well i personally have no embarassing stories....but i was sitting by my cousin and she was nursing her baby and a little girl came up and lifted the blanket and asked what she was doing.... AWKWARD!

both of my sons arent 100% crazy about being covered--but it is important for modesty reason that i have a cover on---i can usually catch any exposing moments except the one time when I just moved into my new ward and the bishops wife was in the mothers room and my little baby oliver decided to lift up the cover COMPLETELY. great first impression!! :)

Divine Damask is my favorite! ppking4@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteDivine Damask is my fav! Oh, and my story is about my third baby girl (I just had my 4th ...yikes! :) I nursed her until she was abou1 1 1/2. My visiting teachers came over for a visit while I was nursing her one time. They asked me some question about my little girl and I kid you not, while she was nursing she answered back! And then when they left she raised her free arm and waved and said bye bye while she was on the nipple! It was funny, but a little embarrassing! They still bring it up to this day!
ReplyDeletecarrie.n.coleman@gmail.com
I nursed my boys. I remember nursing in the back seat when my oldest was little and my husband was walking back to the car and he was in shock that I was doing that and he could see me. I told him, he was the only one looking. It was a SUV not a small car so I was basically hidden from the public. I had a nursing cover-up but I would have loved one like the ones from Udderly Me!
ReplyDeleteoh I love the huevos cover!
ReplyDeleteI love the divine damask.
ReplyDeleteI follow Udderly! So great!
ReplyDeleteLove TaDot! So cute!
ReplyDeleteMy kids always are in and out with the neighbor kids and the other day my baby was pulling off the blanket while I tried to nurse in front of all the neighbor kids who really don't know or understand what nursing is! I had to tell them that they needed to "ask their mom" to explain this...lol
ReplyDeleteOh, these are amazing! I love Huevos and Floral Charm. Darling!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of Udderly Me.
ReplyDeleteDivine Damask and the Huevos aree mi favorite designs!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would always pull at or kick off the nursing cover, so it seemed pointless to use. I remember nursing in the dressing rooms at the mall or trying to find hidden places so I wouldn't have to deal with her pulling it off! I am expecting my second and this cover looks like it can't be kicked or pulled off! What a creative idea.
ReplyDeleteI was at the craft store, in the cashier line, and my baby was only 4 weeks old, then he just start crying like crazy, then everybody was watching, they were all moms too. Then all the girls told me to start breastfeeding right there, because they prefer to see half boob expose, than a crying baby. Good Luck to Me I have a turttle neck/loose shirt, so I did not expose a lot of boob.LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love the Divine Damask. I am a follower of your blog on google reader.
ReplyDeleteLove the Divine Damask cover. So cute! I became a follower and would LOVE to win!!!!
ReplyDeleteadamson1995@gmail.com
When my first was about 6 months old, we went out to dinner with friends. My daughter wasn't too happy to be some place new with new faces and started fussing. I knew she was getting hungry, but didn't want to nurse her until after I ordered my meal. Once that was done, I pulled out my blanket and tried to nurse. It didn't work the way I hoped, and she grabbed the blanket OFF me and came off screaming. I was mortified and finished feeding her in the bathroom!!!!

ReplyDeleteMy worst nursing experience was actually at a church I was visiting. They didn't have a mothers room and i didn't have a cover, so I sat in the handicapped stall...on the toilet...and nursed my baby. All the while, people taking care of business in the other stalls and toilets flushing. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the damask print! Thank you so much for doing this one! Love the nursing covers.

This is such a great idea! I will be buying one of these but would love to win one for a friend! I love the Garden Trellis design!

ReplyDeleteI love the Garden Trellis design!
ReplyDeleteI'm a blog follower...Hey, Lei!
ReplyDeleteThis isn't really a "laugh out loud" story, but when I was nursing my first little guy, whenever my husband and I wanted to go out to eat, my baby felt he needed to eat then, too. I didn't know about nursing covers then, so I would go out to the car to nurse. By the time my little guy finished, I would go back into the restaurant only to find that my order had come, and it was cold and gross. Needless to say, eating out was never very fun.
ReplyDeleteI think the Garden Bouquet is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am now a public follower of Udderly Me and will definitly be telling all of my nursing mom friends and family about it.
ReplyDeleteHow brilliant to cover the back! No one likes their love handles out in the breeze! I think the Divine Damask is my favorite...
ReplyDeleteI love the Take a bite cover.
ReplyDeleteemilou84037@yahoo.com
My worst experience is when I tried to nurse my son and my husband's brothers were in the room and my son decided to pull of the blanket I was using. I was embarassed and I think his brothers were even more so.
ReplyDeleteI have nursed 3 of my kids and will nurse #4 (due in Dec.) I love nursing them but hate that I become a social outcast while doing it. (my brothers and sisters are humiliated by it and all but banish me to a back room but they will have their turns, mwahahaha!) I was at a ward picnic and decided that I could get away with just using a blanket. Apparently not as my visiting teacher came by and pulled the blanket back to see the new baby. He was nursing and I was exposed. I don't know who was more embarassed. Who does that?
ReplyDeletelove the HUEVOS - Nursing Cover.
ReplyDeletesamantha.tram@gmail.com
Oh I so want one of these! My favorite is flower charm!
ReplyDeleteI am an udderlyme follower!
ReplyDeleteI love the Huevos or the Garden Trellis Nursing Cover. Either one of these would be absolutely perfect! What a prefect idea!
ReplyDeleteI love these! My favorites are the Huevos and Divine Damask
ReplyDeleteI think my most awkward nursing moments were when my nieces and nephews would ask what my baby was doing under there - when I said eating, they would ask lots of questions about his bottle, why he liked to be covered, etc. I tried to get creative with my made-up answers :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so great, my favorite is the splashy rose.
ReplyDeleteLove the splashy rose!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...my husband and I were new at church and had just started attending a small group. We sat in a circle, and were thrilled to meet some other young couples. We didn't have children yet, but many of the couples did. One of the girls was from Brazil, and she had the most adorable baby girl. Well, about halfway through the Bible study, this lady pulls down her v-neck shirt and completely exposes herself to the entire group before she began nursing...right out in the open! We do live in Colorado, and I'm all for nursing in public, so long as you're COVERED! Having been to Brazil, I do understand that their culture is a bit more lax about things like this, but oh, my husband was mortified!
ReplyDeletei like the HUEVOS.
ReplyDeletesongyueyu at gmail
Love the divine damask...would't that just go with about everything?!? It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am having a baby girl in dec.! So excited but have been a little worried about nursing with my two boys around. This would be a perfect cover up so neither the baby or my boys can pull it down. I love the black Damask print!!!
ReplyDeleteDivine Damask! CUTE! :0)
ReplyDeleteracheldowd07 at gmail.com
Looking back... it's funny to think about all the trouble I went through to make sure my baby was getting my breast milk. On countless occasions you could find me in a bathroom stall or running out to the car to attach my DOUBLE breast pump. With both hands on both pumps and a blanket clamped between my teeth to stay covered as best I could from anyone walking by, just to run back inside to give my baby a bottle. That way I could avoid having to nurse around someone. Can you picture it!?! I'm grateful this time around I will have something to really cover up with.

ReplyDeleteI so need one of these! I love the divine damask! I'm half way through the pregnancy of my fifth child and this would seriously come in handy.
ReplyDeleteGarden Trellis is definitely my Fav!
ReplyDeleteI really like Garden Trellis.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I love the divine damask cover. What a great solution!

ReplyDeleteWe were waiting to board an airplane. My husband went to go check to see if we could preboard yet. I had my three kids, a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a newborn (all boys). My baby needed to nurse so I thought I was being sneaky, found a place I could sit on the floor and lean up against the wall next to the play area, and keep an eye on both of my boys, while nursing. Until as I was finishing I realized that I was leaning back against a glass partition that was two stories over the escalators going up to all the flight gates. I was flashing every passenger who came up that escalator for at least 20 minutes!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely! And I love the back feature because as my baby is getting bigger it's harder to maintain modesty with him
ReplyDeleteFunny story -- well I feel as if i've nursed my baby boy in every public spot available. In a recent trip to NYC, I nursed him on the subway on the park bench, leaned over on one side in the minivan while he was in his carseat on our 17 hour trip East. I guess after a pair of twins, nursing gets a whole lot easier!
ReplyDeleteI need a "Bite me"...but I definitely don't need anyone biting me!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the divine damask cover. I'm due with my 2nd in March and have been thinking about how much I hated my old cover and need a new one. The worst experience I had with my old nursing cover was trying to nurse my daugter while standing in a horrendously long line to get the H1N1 vaccine for her last year. Had the same trouble, no back coverage and no side coverage and hundreds of people around!
ReplyDeleteI love the Garden Trellis! Nice and unisex yet stylish for any mommy!
ReplyDeleteAs a soon to be new mommy, I don't have any boob showing stories - and hopefully won't have any either! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the divine damask and the whimsy doosie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the divine damask.
ReplyDeleteI am liking the divine damask and the whimsy doozy....I cakn't quite decide which one yet is my fav! They are all too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of their blog now too!
ReplyDeleteI love the divine damask!
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the Huevos Nursing Cover, is so country and chic..LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI am following their blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic solution... and it's cute! I'm at the age where many of my friends are having kids and this would make a wonderful gift. It's difficult to choose just one, but the "ta dot" caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the "huevos". These are super cute! I'm expecting baby #2 in January and would love to have one!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteMy funny story:
ReplyDeleteI was in Brazil with my husband and in-laws visiting my husband's mission. Well, we were having dinner at this family's house. This girl looks around 14 or 15 yrs old. Her little girl, who is probably almost two, walks right up and starts pulling her mom's shirt down. Anyway, right in front of us (including my father-in-law) she whips it right out for her "baby" to nurse! It was so embarrassing! I know it shouldn't be, but I'm a little more conservative when it comes to boob exposure!
I love the "huevos" pattern! Not a mama yet, but these would make an adorable gift.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the "Huevos" :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a nursing momma yet (12 wks pregnant!), but I still have a funny momma nursing moment. My friend had just had her baby and my husband had never been around someone who was nursing. Well I knew she was nursing and she was not worried about nursing in front of men or at least us, my husband on the other hand did not know she was nursing. He came up and got in the babies face and started talking to her and rubbing her head and everything. I ended up having to tug on him and say "Babe, she's nursing!" haha. It was a classic moment and we will never forget it!
Woohoo! Someone who thinks like I do! I was JUST thinking about making something like this today for my baby due in March! Better yet, I'll let Leilani do the work for me. I LOVE the Huevos pattern because it is definitely gender neutral. I have yet to find out whether we're having another girl or a boy. Only four more weeks til we find out. -But who's counting?!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteFunny story - My first baby was only about three weeks old when our family met at a park in Centerville for the fourth of July. My sister in law was due to have a baby in only three more months and her 3 year old boy was more than curious about nursing and nursing covers. We were sitting in the park with the whole family in a circle of chairs when I had to nurse. So I put on my nursing cover and proceeded. Well, my 3 year old nephew decided he was curious as to what was happening under there and went on to crawl under my chair and pop up under the nursing cover with my baby to check things out. Being a new mom and quite embarassed that my brothers in law were seeing this I wasn't sure what to do. Luckily my sister in law soon got up to pull him out from under the cover without exposing me!!

I'm due with my first in 5 weeks and the Huevos cover was meant for me! It matches my nursery and fun accessories I have so far for my little man. Simple but stylish!!
ReplyDeletejulie.boyster@gmail.com
Since I'm not a nursing mamma yet (although this will change in a few short weeks) I have no personal experiences with nursing but the Udderly Me design is perfect for my biggest fears. I'm ultra conservative and modest when it comes to this kind of stuff. I even had a dream a couple weeks ago that the seams in my shirt fell apart while I was nursing at our neighborhood park and I walked home with two diapers taped to my chest. Possible? Probably not but "udderly" terrifying none the less! I need this nursing cover! :)

ReplyDeleteI love the Divine Damask!! I'm all about the classy!!!
ReplyDeleteI just finished nursing my son, I made it to my goal of one year and I have a nursing cover but it doesn't do the trick all the way. My son was STILL able to kick that thing around and I was exposed a good number of times. But I think the worst feeling was when I would have to nurse him somewhere and my back was completely exposed to everyone else. Not so charming. I would love to have one of these AMAZING covers for the next baby in the near future! ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE HUEVOS! Adorable and simple enough to spice up with whatever you have on in addition! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of her blog as of now :)
ReplyDeleteI am 8 months pregnant with my first baby and therefore have no experience with nursing myself, i have been there for other mothers embarrassing (or apparently in their eyes not-so-embarrassing) moments and would not like to have one of my own, hence the wonderful cover up. BUT i do have some hideous stretch marks on my boobs already... is that embarrassing enough?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is teh Garden Bouquet! So cute!!
ReplyDeleteI followed the Udderly Me Blog!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Garden Trellis!!!
ReplyDeleteI was walking around nursing my baby girl and she was covered just by a burp cloth (she was still itty bitty) and my FIL had no clue she was nursing. I stopped him just in time he was about to move the burp cloth so he could see her! That could have been really awkward lol!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Idea! Where were these when I needed them! I was a member of the Le Leche league years ago and saw some interesting situations too. children running around and suddenly Momma shirt flies up or down what ever the case was. My son, who now has a 3 wk. old nursing son, called my boobs "snups", why I don't know. These are all so pretty and stylish, Huveos covers are great.! I'm sure my daughter-in-love could benefit. I've been a house of Smith's follower for some time and now yours too!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness these are amazing! I love them ALL, but if I HAD to pick one... I think I would possibly maybe go with the Whimsy Doozie. I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower of Udderly Me blog! Woohooo!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any nursing stories yet.... but give me 6 months and I'll share. :) However.... if I win this giveaway... hopefully I won't have any embarrassing stories. :)
ReplyDeleteI want the Floral Charm one. So cute.
ReplyDeleteFOLLOWER of Udderly ME!
ReplyDeleteA scaring story in my life about nursing mothers is when my mom offered to nurse another mothers baby and that lady let her!!!! AAaaaahhhh. I was there and so embarrassed. Too weird. And just seeing moms all together just pop it out and nurse like it's nothing. I would like to have a cover on hand for those mothers who don't think it's a problem. And one for myself as well.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I so need one of these covers! I think huevos and whimsy doozie have to be my favorites!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 month old baby girl is such a loud nurser. She is constantly slurping, grunting, & squeaking while nursing. Makes it impossible to be discreet. I definitely won't be nursing in church any time soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to give my daughter the Divine Damask cover up when she has her baby SOON!
ReplyDeleteThe "Divine Damask" is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love Huevos and Trellis! They both work for any gender - now if I knew I was having a girl, it'd be all about Ta Dot! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of the blog :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a mommy yet, so my only story is about these lovely twins our friends have. They are about 6 months and we've babysat a few times now. Well, my husband always seems to play with them, while i just like to hold them. So he swirls them in the air and plays, then passes them off to me to hold after they've had their "air" time. Twice now (why haven't I learned?) they spit up all over me! Last time it was on a cashmere sweater! Now we wait a while after their feeding before any playtime :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the Divine Damask!
ReplyDeleteOh...I don't have just ONE story but I can say that those early days without much sleep cause you to throw all modesty to the wind! Sigh...those days go by so fast. She's almost one :(
ReplyDeleteI like the Divine Damask nursing cover. It's cute and takes the attention away from what's going on underneath. :)

ReplyDeleteHere's my story...I was a student during the time I was breast feeding, and most of our days were spent on campus. It was time to feed my little girl and I wasn't near any bathrooms with couches so I went into the biggest stall of the closest bathroom and stood holding my baby while I fed her. When my arms started getting tired I would lean on the top of the toilet paper dispenser to give my arms a rest. I look back and realize that I probably could have found a more comfortable spot to nurse. -Liz, crowleychic@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI love the WHIMSY DOOZIE nursing cover. I am getting ready to be a mommy so no embarasing stories yet but I am super terrified of flashing my dad or father-in-law...can anyone say awkward Thanksgiving dinner!!!

I didn't have a nursing cover with my first daughter (now 15 months old) so I went to my car to nurse. I thought that the windows were tinted pretty dark so I began the process, totally exposed. I looked up after my daughter started nursing and noticed a man attempting to unlock his car in front of me. He had gotten a little distracted with the free peep show from the car in front of him. Needless to say, I need this cover to nurse my brand new baby so we don't have a repeat free for all.
