All morning there was an exciting feeling at the Smith House.
The twins had their FIRST day of school today.
...I almost cried.
...They almost tried to drive my car to the school without me :(
It was only a short little half day type thing... where I even got to go and see what they do.
I still missed them, even though I was in the same room. Is that possible?
They are officially the TALLEST out of everyone in their whole class. lol.
That's ALL Cason's doing :)
Remember?
Really... School pictures should be taken at LEAST a week before ACTUAL school starts. lol.
These little chicks were WAY too excited to pose for pictures. lol.
But at least I got ONE of them together. ha.
"sassy faces" and all.
Tonight I'm celebrating their new "freedom".
As sad as it is, for me... I'm SO excited for them to start this new chapter in their lives.
Is it easy to watch my twin babies leave to be in the care of
lol.
No.
But I'm celebrating their independence...hoping that I did everything right...
up to this point!
Taught them enough pleases, thank yous, ABC's and 123's.
.
.
Hoping they're kind, and sweet... not too sassy and not too chatty
(oh gosh... please let them take after their dad on that one too. haha)
.
.
Ooo...I love these little girls! When did they get SO BIG!? :(
................................................
In other news... Laci's Studio 5 segment finally aired today!
She did an AMAZING job.
I have to say, I got a little uncomfortable watching, the first time. lol
It's a bit odd seeing yourself, just being ... YOU. ha.
But I wasn't lying when I said... I LOVE this concept.
No matter what SHAPE or SIZE you are.
No matter how PRETTY or PLAIN...
EVERY WOMAN and
MOM'S especially
need to take the time to celebrate... themselves, through photography.
It's worth EVERY awkward pose, I promise :)
Love ya Laci. Thanks for sharing your inspiring talents and advice with us.

ReplyDeleteMy oldest started Kindergarten last week and is LOVING it! I am sure they will be the same. And think of those few hours you have to run errands without then. I am guessing this is going to save me some money. No more 5 year old asking to buy everything she sees!

ReplyDeleteMy goodness, your little girls are absolutely stunning. I totally know you're not supposed to, but if I were their teacher they would probably be my favorites. How could they not with their darling curls and big blue eyes??
You two are to cute for words. :) You look fabulous and inspiring to all women! I love that!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Shanna
I love this idea. I have been feeling so self conscious about myself lately, and having a hard time feeling good about myself at all. I love how a photo shoot for a mom can give her a boost and help her feel good. I am seriously considering it! You look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! You look amazing in your photos and I get it! We as women need to stop being timid and just be us! Live for today! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI got chills watching it!!!! How awesome! What a great segment!
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting!!! They looked super cute for thier first day of school. Your photo shoot was great! You are so pretty - beautiful smile. I don't think I'd have the guts to do something like that. I'd feel too self-conscious.
