Bathroom Cabinet Makeover

I'm loving how this all came together!  From the paper, to the chopping of the "legs"... it's definitely more of the look that I was going for!
And it was so easy!

This is the "Cream-ish" victim from before...

We decided that we weren't diggin' the bottom half of the unit... so we took it apart.  And I sprayed it white.
That discussion... HERE

The back was lacking.... something.

So when I was at Michaels today... I picked up this pink and white lined scrapbook paper.
5 for a $1.00  sa-weet!
Pieced it together, and adhered it with some continuous lines glue strip.

I'm not sure how I'm really gonna decorate this space, but here are some cute plates, for now.
I'm thinking vintage bathroom items...
I'll need to keep my eye out for some more.

I also love the height that mounting this piece on the wall, gives to the room.  BIG difference!
SO much better, then having it sitting on the floor!

  4. Oh that turned out darling. Perfect for that space. Love what you did to the back, it just adds so much cutness. Now you need to make something out of the bottom piece you cut off. Maybe a table or something??? So cute.
    Thanks for sharing.

  8. That is soooo pretty! I would never think to put light blue with pink like you have, but it's a great combination. So elegant and girly, too. The cabinet looks perfect!

  11. I love it! I am so glad you did surgery on those legs. I love it hung on the wall. I just bought a little cabinet like that at, where else the good will. It was one of those things that I had to have but no idea where I will put it!

    Love the scrapbook paper!

  12. Hello sweet Shelley - I notice you paint a lot with white. What is your favorite white spray paint? I have sprayed almost everything in my house Heirloom White, but it has a creamy shade to it. I'd like to do a few pieces in white like yours.

Great cabinet makeover! Love the striped paper in the back. Adds such a fab touch.

    Blessings,
    Marie

  14. I love this and I'm going to attempt the scrapbook paper on my cabinet but just wondering...have you had any issues with moisture in the bathroom affecting the paper? Did you put a coat of anything over the paper? My husband seems to think its a bad idea but I LOVE it and so want to try this!
