Christmas Gold + Home for the Holidays

Slowly but surely Christmas decorating is coming along over in our neck of the woods. I've decided this year that I'm not going to spend weeks and weeks decorating, just to feel like I'm having to turn around and take everything back down to pack it up in bins and boxes again.

This time I'm enjoying the process, and making small, yet significant changes to our space. Mostly, just by swapping everyday items out with more Christmasy ones instead.

I've been collecting funky vases and unique little pieces here and there to display this year. They're definitely not your typical "Christmas decor items", but I think that's what I like most about them.

Now that we have our fun polka dot wall, I'd love to find a couple of different pillows, just for a while, that reflect the more lighthearted look we have going on in here. Maybe a bold stripe or something (?) ... I'm still on the lookout.

For now though, we're just enjoying the little changes along the way, plenty of beautiful sunshine, and lots of relaxing. I couldn't be more joyful or thankful on this day.

And Zaylee... well, I think that all of this decorating nonsense, just makes her plain tired :)
