Have you ladies and gents heard of this great new site, Hometalk.com?
Cason and I are LOVING it, and we're so happy to introduce them as our newest sponsor!
What’s Hometalk?
Hometalk is a community of regular folks and home improvement pros who love to talk
about home improvement. The site exists for one simple reason:
about home improvement. The site exists for one simple reason:
to make home improvement easier and better for you.
Whether you are a homeowner, a renter or a contractor, you need a place to talk about
your home improvement projects. We've created a network where you can get all the information you need to do a home project right, down to the nitty gritties.
- Get (almost) instant answers to questions about your home & garden.
- Search photos and tips for inspiration and information.
- Post photos and grow a fan base for your very own house.
- Once and for all, get real & reliable reviews of local contractors.
- See tips from local businesses.
Here's a fun little video that explains it all, better :)
Not sure about you all, but Cason and I are always looking to bounce ideas off of other homeowners and pros, who have been through similar DIY projects, when jumping into a new task on our "to-do-list". And when it comes to BIG home improvement stuff, we want to learn from OTHERS mistakes and triumphs, before we dive head first into our own. ha!
So we were pretty dang excited about Hometalk, and spent a few hours on the site our first time, scrolling through advice and questions asked by tons of people about a plethora of different topics, ALL on home DIY! right up our ally :)
From the kitchen, to the yard... there are TONS of people asking and answering questions all the time. Cason made me laugh when he referred to this site as his personal "DIY for Dummies". ha!
He loved it!
Seriously though!, there are questions that range from...
"How do I install my new toilet?"...
He loved it!
Seriously though!, there are questions that range from...
"How do I install my new toilet?"...
...to amazing photos of completed projects from fellow homeowners, like these!...
It's actually really addicting, if you're into the home DIY scene... but also educating at the same time, because you're learning something new, that you didn't know before!...
...so it's okay to stay on the site for ridiculous amounts of time... right?
:)
You MUST check out Hometalk.com! Go post some of your best projects on there, or ask "that question" that you need an answer to! Chances are, there will be someone there, who either specializes in that area, or just a regular homeowner like you and me, who as been through, or experienced something similar and knows first hand, exactly what their talking about.
Oh! And because I love you guys (even though it will fewer my chances. hee hee) while you're checking out Hometalk.com, don't forget to enter their two AWESOME giveaways, once you sign up!
There is one EVERY WEEK, for a huge gift card to all different places that will
"make your house a little bit better!"

I've never heard of this but would love to check it out. I linked a project I did today to your blog. I made my first subway art and since you had inspired me with your address art, I mentioned you in my post and asked people to visit your blog. If you would like to take a look it is www.Hoot-n-Nanny.blogspot.com. I'm a big fan of House of Smiths.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to check their site out! Maybe I can find more to add to my "house dream" files. Thank you for sharing.
